You will arrive in Prague and settle into our centrally located hotel for the duration of our trip. Having one “home” to launch our adventures from is a central tenant of our slow travel philosophy. No need to pack and repack and run from city to city with hotel check-ins every other day.
AND we will be just in time to see the last of the winter markets, truly a most memorable European delight, and only for those brave enough to venture abroad in the magic glow of wintertime.
Prague is a fairytale city, steeped in history and mystery. We will take delight in the multitude of off-the-beaten-track museums and spend New Year’s Eve in possibly the most enchanting winter destination on Earth, with a small group of equally lovely women.

Welcome to Prague
You private driver will pick you up at the airport on arrival day
Your AWT Tour Leader will be waiting for you to arrive at the hotel
Tour Starts at check-in, so this is considered a free day for early arrivals, the hotel will happily stow your luggage until check-in
Settle into your centrally located and beautifully appointed hotel & relax for a spell
Welcome Dinner
Evening walk to the Christmas Markets in Old Town (the only ones in Europe that stay up past Christmas!)

Day 2
Full Day Trip To Cesky Krumlov
A Unesco World Heritage site. Cesky Krumlov is the pearl of Southern Bohemia. A fairy tale semi-island town with the second largest castle in the Czech Republic

Road Trip!
With private car and local female guide to show us Southern Bohemia
We will see
Cesky Krumlov Castle with gardens
Latran with its many stunning gothic houses, local brewery, Krumlov monastery and church of st. Jošt
The Inner Old town ~ Crossing a wooden bridge you will arrive at the old inner town surrounded by the Vltava river
The whole historical center of Cesky Krumlov has remained mostly unchanged since the 16th century. Truly a winter fairytale adventure

Night on the town! - Prague truly loves their fireworks to a somewhat alarming degree that city officials have tried to regulate with roughly zero success thus far

Beer Spa Day! A uniquely Czech spa experience
Evening Free - maybe have dinner at the famed U Pavouka, Medieval Tavern. A classic old-town spectacle of fire dancers, sword swallowers, and medieval tomfoolery all in a gorgeous medieval pub with a 5-course meal and traditional music. A bit hokey but very fun and very very Prague.

Stephanie is a New Hampshire native, fiber artist, incredible knitter (yes we’re working on a knitting tour), and coffee connoisseur - but not the judgey kind, she loves a cup of gas station coffee for it’s own sake as well
She is hilarious, level-headed, and will stop anywhere, anytime for a snack. Loves snacks, this girl. This is what we call in the industry, the perfect tour leader trifecta
